The Coordinadora Catalana de Fundacions [Catalan Coordinator of Foundations] was founded in 1978 by virtue of the drive and enthusiasm of civil society. And this selfsame spirit, albeit constantly renewed, has led it to work untiringly to strengthen and promote the future of Catalan Foundations.

A future driven by values such as solidarity, altruism, welfare... These and other principles which justify the existence of the 1,600 foundations in Catalonia in sectors as diverse as health care, hospitals, culture, teaching or research, revitalise the drive and enthusiasm of the Coordinator with every passing day. Thanks to this identity, the Coordinator has grown, and now boasts a network of over 500 foundations.

Because this is a network where there is room for all members, who nevertheless retain their independence and have their own say. The Coordinator renders services to them and represents them so they can be more efficient and pool their efforts with the ultimate aim of furthering the accomplishment of their mission.

This is the aim of the Catalan Coordinator of Foundations, namely to become an instrument at the service of Catalan foundations, an instrument at the service of our society.
